Thank you for a great year
Thank you for a great year

It’s hard to believe 2025 is already wrapping up. Seriously—didn’t it just start five minutes ago?

We are incredibly grateful for every single person who makes up the community we call Clay Arts Vegas. You are our people. Our clay-covered, slightly dusty, wonderfully creative family. From the guest artists we’ve been lucky enough to meet, to the folks who call asking for advice, to those who stop in for supplies, teach alongside us, and—most importantly—those who take classes and make everything else possible. We are lucky to have you all.

Every class, we try to introduce something new: a new technique, a new challenge, or a new way to rethink how we’ve done things before. That adds up to nearly 50 new projects a year. We rarely repeat projects—and when we do, we insist on changing them just enough to keep things interesting (and to keep ourselves entertained).

As we write this, we want you to know that those of us who teach truly love sharing what we know and pushing you to see just how much more you can do, it's always better than you than you thought possible. We’re also pretty sure that from your side of the table, it sometimes looks like we’ve completely lost our minds. That’s fair. I did make a “cat” candy dish once. Let’s just say… not my finest moment.

All of that work—yours and ours—really pays off. This year, the studio had the opportunity to show work at the West Sahara Library, where our TAG TEAM show brought the community together to interpret a single haiku in pairs, proving once and for all that two artists will never see the same thing the same way.

Studio members also showed work at the Rotunda Gallery at the Government Center, Winchester Community Center, Clark County Wetlands Park, Charleston Heights Arts Center, First Friday, and more places than we can fully remember (which probably means it was a very good year). On top of that, 30 members of our community came together for an amazing fundraising event for KNPR.

We are endlessly proud of what you create, deeply thankful for your time and energy, and beyond grateful to be part of this community with you. Thank you for making Clay Arts Vegas what it is. If you have a moment, share some positive feedback on Yelp or Google. If you see a place we can improve, please let us know - we try our best to make make sure you are having a good time, and sometimes we fail.

Looking Forward

This next year we have things up our sleeve as well.  We have been invited to curate a show for the Saraha West Library, and the Grand Gallery at City Hall, more details in the new year.  We also have four amazing guest artists for 2026:
