Join us for a two day workshop, April 5 & 6 2025

Jamie has been part of the Clay Arts Vegas family for a while now, first as part of our cups show in 2015, then as a resident artist, now we are lucky enough to have him as part of our workshop series.
Some Background: Jamie Adams studied painting and ceramics in college and later worked for a number of museums and non-profit art centers, including Artists Image Resource, an artist-run, print and imaging organization established to serve as a laboratory for artists, educators, and the community. AIR’s mission is to integrate the creation of fine art prints with educational programs that explore the role of the artist in contemporary culture.
Jamie has taught for Athens State University at the Alabama Center for the Arts since 2019, where he oversees the studio arts program.

During this two day hands-on workshop you will create forms to explore the techniques that Jamie has mastered that make his work more then just sgraffito.

Scraffito, also known as sgraffito, is an artistic technique that involves scratching through a coating to reveal a contrasting layer underneath. It's used in painting, sculpture, and pottery

Please Join April 5 & 6, 2025 for two full days of techniques, fun and community.
